Privacy policy

Last reviewed: 17 October 2026

This is a static, browser-based practice site. It does not include user accounts, analytics, advertising trackers or a website-owned backend for submitting answers.

What information is processed?

Your spoken-answer transcripts, session practice counts and question choices are handled in your browser. They are not submitted to an application database. Your answers are not intentionally stored after you close the page.

Microphone and speech services

Microphone recording and recognition are required to submit answers. When you choose the microphone, your browser asks for permission. Its speech-recognition implementation may transmit audio to a browser vendor or an external transcription service. This is outside the site operator's control. The browser's privacy policy also applies. Do not speak confidential or identifying information into the microphone. If you do not consent to microphone processing, you cannot submit speaking-exam answers on this site. When you record an answer, an audio recording is temporarily held in your browser tab as a playable local object URL. You can replay or delete it. It is not uploaded by our recording feature and is discarded when you change exercises or leave the page. The separate speech-recognition comparison may transmit fresh microphone audio to your browser's recognition provider.

Text-to-speech

French audio playback uses your browser's speech-synthesis facility. Availability and processing depend on your browser and installed voices.

Storage and cookies

By default, exercises use temporary session memory only. If you explicitly permit optional preference storage, your selected practice mode and that choice are stored in this browser using localStorage. No advertising or analytics cookies are intentionally set by this website. The hosting provider may collect technical server logs under its own policies.

Third parties

This site does not intentionally embed external social widgets, third-party fonts, advertisements or analytics. Hosting is provided by Neocities. Your browser's speech service may be another processor when you use it.

Children and personal data

This study tool is designed for learners, including younger learners. It does not ask for real names, addresses or birth dates as required registration data. For practice questions about personal topics, users can give invented answers. Younger users should seek permission from a parent or guardian before enabling the microphone where required by local law.

Deletion and control

Because this site has no user database, there is no website account to delete. The site does not require preference storage. You can clear this website's browser data. Stop using microphone recognition at any time.

Contact and deployment responsibility

Before launching a public site, the site operator should add a working contact method for privacy enquiries and confirm whether any regional disclosures or additional obligations apply. This page is a working template and does not establish legal compliance by itself.

Optional local AI examiner

When enabled, the site downloads WebLLM code and Qwen model assets from third-party hosting/CDNs to the browser. These servers may receive ordinary connection metadata such as IP address. The recognized answer text is processed by the local model on your device and is not sent to a paid AI chat API by the site. The browser speech recognition provider may still process microphone audio remotely. AI-generated suggestions can be wrong. Local model files may remain cached in your browser until cleared.
